Residential Installation $25,000 - $100,000

Rini's Garden is located in Houston's residential community of River Oaks. As a well-known author and illustrator of children's books, the client wanted an outdoor space that would inspire and be reflective of the magical essence of her writings. Flagstone walkways were installed along with two custom  wrought iron arches and a stunning water fountain. To add to the fairy tale landscape a butterfly topiary garden was installed lined with boxwoods. AJ also added large cherry laurels as a green backdrop and planted an eclectic mix of textures and colors throughout.

The client's goal was to transform the over-grown and outdated grounds into an inviting and revitalized reflection of the upscale property. More than 44,875 plants ranging in size from 14" caliper trees down to 4" pots were installed in addition to 440 linear feet of retaining walls. Areas renovated include the front Porte Cochere, front retaining walls, monument sign, library courtyard, East and West meandering path gardens, and the pool and cabana area.

How to Cover Seven Acres of EXPO's Tradeshow with ZEST

Hitting the Ground and Ruling the Tradeshow Floor at EXPO

EXPO is the perfect getaway and the chance to see the latest innovations the Green Industry has to offer. Making the decision on how to conduct your EXPO journey can be one of the most important steps to making the most of your time for EXPO success. Whether you are new to EXPO or seasoned, covering the entire show floor in three days can be a challenge. Here are some things to consider as you prep for your EXPO experience. GAME ON!

• Save time by researching Exhibitors online, or through EXPOs Mobile App
• Be sure to grab a Tradeshow program, look through it before each day to make sure you have not missed an opportunity to see something new and map out your course
• When meeting a new industry contact make a note on their business card referencing your conversation for further review later
• Plan to have some fun, be sure to visit with Exhibitors, ask them questions, make a note on what you are interested in for easier follow up post show
• Take the knowledge and tools you gather from EXPO and share them with those back at the office, it may inspire other ideas and strategies for thought

2014 EXPO's TNLA Awards Dinner Sneak Peak: GOLD WINNER

The Texas Excellence in Landscape Awards (TEIL) are presented during the 2014 TNLA Awards Celebration. Come see award winning landscapes ranking among the top in Texas, learn the details behind the creative design and see the finished product come to life before your eyes. 

Here is a sneak peak at 2014 TEIL Gold Award Winner - Lambert Landscape Company's Classic Contemporary Retreat

The challenge for this project was to transform an ordinary landscape into an extraordinary resort-feel pool and garden. To make the outdoors usable year round, the small terrace was transformed into an expansive loggia. The landscape architect designed everything from the steel structure (working with a structural engineer) to the detailed coffered ceilings. Linear pavilions were designed to flank the rectilinear pool and trees were selectively removed to give glimpse of what lay beyond the back door.

Booth Ranch is located in Fredericksburg, a small hamlet in the Texas Hill Country, nestled among 2,000 acres of rolling hills.  The approach to maintaining its current landscaping included the innovative diligence by the landscaping management offing long term solutions to ongoing challenges of heat, drought and native wildlife. Clean Scapes used a bright approach installing Salvia greggii, bulbine, orange lantana, Texas mountain laurel, sage and trailing and upright rosemary were planted for color and sustainability along with Mexican feather grass waving throughout the project, adding softness and beauty.
