Rini's Garden

Residential Installation $25,000 - $100,000

Rini's Garden is located in Houston's residential community of River Oaks. As a well-known author and illustrator of children's books, the client wanted an outdoor space that would inspire and be reflective of the magical essence of her writings. Flagstone walkways were installed along with two custom  wrought iron arches and a stunning water fountain. To add to the fairy tale landscape a butterfly topiary garden was installed lined with boxwoods. AJ also added large cherry laurels as a green backdrop and planted an eclectic mix of textures and colors throughout.

The client's goal was to transform the over-grown and outdated grounds into an inviting and revitalized reflection of the upscale property. More than 44,875 plants ranging in size from 14" caliper trees down to 4" pots were installed in addition to 440 linear feet of retaining walls. Areas renovated include the front Porte Cochere, front retaining walls, monument sign, library courtyard, East and West meandering path gardens, and the pool and cabana area.

Town Hall renovation included terra cotta tile with blue ceramic inlays created for walkways. Custom iron railings were also fabricated and installed. The landscape, hardscape and the renovated building all work in harmony to reflect the Spanish Colonial style.

• Get there early if you want a table rest your feet and sit among old friends or share a seat at the table with new ones

• When meeting someone new, try to repeat their name several times during the conversation so that it sticks when you see them again on the Tradeshow floor
